Sean M. Mahan, MD
Sean Mahan, MD, is a diagnostic radiologist who is currently President of EliteRad Radiology Services, a national radiology practice. Dr. Mahan received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, and a medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He later finished his internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia, and then completed a fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center. His board certifications include the National Board of Medical Examiners Board Certification and subspecialty Board Certification from the American Board of Radiology in 1996.
His previous hospital affiliations include Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he served as Director of the Radiology Department for multiple hospitals within that system. Dr. Mahan was also the Chairman of Central Florida Radiology and Drew Medical, the largest outpatient radiology practice in central Florida. He is currently working as a full-time radiologist for radiology centers across the state of Florida, as well as in other locations in the United States. He is currently performing full-time duties as a radiologist, and subspecializes in MRI and musculoskeletal imaging.
Dr. Mahan lectures at the University of Central Florida, and he teaches radiology and clinical correlation to the doctors of physical therapy students, and he also serves as the team radiologist for the Orlando Predators. Dr. Mahan performs fulltime radiology duties including the interpretation of MRI, CT, ultrasound and Xray.
Dr. Mahan has served as a forensic radiology expert witness for both plaintiff and defense on numerous radiology cases that include medical malpractice, product liability, and personal injury. He is available for expert radiology consultation, review of studies, medical records and depositions, as well as providing deposition and trial testimony.
